Development and Fundraising
Money is central to the lifeblood of any cultural institution and even public museums cannot fully function without additional funds, while most private museums depend on raising operational funds. This is the task of those in development, which is the fundraising arm of the institution. Their job is to help ensure the long-term survival of the museum by cultivating donations, both large and small, and by writing or assisting in the writing of grants to support particular initiatives.
