Health Psychology Faculty Grant Activity
Health Psychology faculty have an active history of local, state and federal research funding. Collectively, our health psychology research programs cover issues across the lifespan, and include some of the most nationally-relevant topics in the field of Health Psychology today. Our research accomplishments include:
- funding from local, state and private agencies including: Center for Border Health Research; Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe; Hispanic Health Disparities Research Center; Paso del Norte Health Foundation; The Rockefeller University Center for Clinical and Translational Science; and Texas Department of Transportation
- funding from federal agencies within the National Institutes of Health including: National Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities; National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute; National Institute for Child Health and Human Development; National Institute of Mental Health Minority Research Infrastructure and Support Program; and National Institute for Nursing Research
- grants totaling over $15 million in extramural funding
- 130 conference and poster presentations by students
- 54 peer-reviewed publications
