Dr. Sara Potter
Associate Professor of Spanish

Dr. Sara Potter is an associate professor of Spanish who specializes in in contemporary Mexican literature and gender studies. Her research and teaching interests include Mexican and Latin American poetry, popular culture, media studies, representations of gender and sexuality, science fiction, graphic novels, film, theories of the body, and avant-garde and countercultural movements. Her book, Technified Muses: Reconfiguring National Bodies and Histories in Post-Revolutionary Mexico (University of Florida Press, 2024), examines the intersections of representations of technology, the female body, and urban space in Mexican avant-garde narrative from 1920 to the present.
