Engaged Bystander Intervention
Bystander Intervention is provided by The Center against Sexual and Family Violence (CASFV). In 1.5 hours, get informed and engage in a series of activities that will teach you how to intervene and help prevent violence as well as any kind of abuse.
In a respectful, tolerant and friendly environment, you will learn and be prepared to prevent, intervene and help a person in need, due to physical and/or psychological abuse. Be a part of creating a healthier community.
The program consists of one or more sessions in which one or two of the following 6 topics will be discussed:
- Knowing what sexual assault is.
- Define “consent laws”
- Review statistics to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence. .
- Learn how to intervene with real-life examples.
- Importance of preventing and intervening.
- Through interactive activities, practice real scenarios for prevention and intervention.
- Developing your own Bystander Intervention Strategy.
