Safer Sex Education

 

The purpose of the “Safer Sex” program is to influence a sex-positive culture in our community in order to empower women, make informed decisions about sexual, reproductive health and well-being, and raise awareness of safer sex practices.

Through your participation, you will gain knowledge and awareness about the importance of mutual respect, communication, and consent between the couple or sexual partner. The participant will gain knowledge of STD/STI risk, behaviors that put one at risk, and skills of how to prevent STDs/STIs.

In one hour, the following topics will be covered:

  • Talk about sex (names, types).

  • Sexually transmitted infections/diseases (STI’s/STD’s)

  • Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)

  • What is Safer Sex?

  • Information and activities related to communication, Respect and consent.

  • Information and activities related to correct condom use.
