Is there a Parent and Family Orientation?
Yes. It is offered during Summer Freshman Orientation on Day 2 (Saturday).
Do parents need to register?
No. Parents and families do not need to register.
Is Parent and Family Orientation free?
Yes. There is no cost.
What language is Parent Orientation offered in?
Sessions are available in English and Spanish.
Should parents attend both days?
No. Parents are encouraged to attend only Saturday.
Are children allowed?
Yes. Children may attend. It is a family orientation.
Will parents meet academic advisors?
No. Advisors only meet with students.
What will parents learn at orientation?
They’ll learn about UTEP resources, financial aid, safety, and supporting student success.
Can parents tour the campus?
Yes. Campus tours are part of Parent Orientation.
