Lost and Found
Lost and found items submitted to the University Police are stored for a minimum of 60 days. To inquire about lost property, call 915-747-6640 or 915-747-6338 or e-mail lostandfound@utep.edu. After 60 days, unclaimed property is transferred to the Surplus Property Department for public auction or other disposition. Individuals must present a valid Texas driver’s license, Miner Gold Card ID, or a valid photo ID card from another recognized source to claim found property items. Individuals must be able to describe the property to claim it. Please contact us to set up an appointment or for additional information.
NOTE: Property considered a health hazard such as chemicals, food, food containers, hats, clothing, cosmetics, and water bottles cannot be stored and disposed of by the Lost and Found section.
