ABOUTUTEP Field Seismological Laboratory is a modern seismological facility including 3-component seismic nodes, broadband and short period seismometers, a 24-channel seismic recording system for shallow seismic imaging and multichannel analysis of surface waves studies, a distributed acoustic sensing interrogator for fiberoptic distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) seismology, and seismic sources, GPS timing devices, solar panels, GPS, cables, and other auxiliary equipment.
