Financial Assistance
Many school districts offer tuition reimbursement for teachers pursuing a MAT degree. Please check with your district personnel or school administrator.
The U.S. Department of Education's Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant (TEACH Grant) Program provides funds to students who are completing or who plan to complete coursework that is required to begin a career in teaching, and who agree to teach full-time for at least four years (https://teach-ats.ed.gov/ats/index.action).
The Mathematics Education Trust (MET) offers scholarships and grants to support classroom teachers in improving classroom practices and increasing teachers' mathematical knowledge(http://www.nctm.org/met). For example, it offers the Mathematics Graduate Course Work Scholarships and Classroom Research Grants.
