Guadalajara Summer Program
About
The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and the Universidad de Guadalajara (UDG) in Mexico, created a program to support an interchange of educational experiences for engineering, business and computer science students to advance the concept of smart city development.
Program Goals
To foster U.S.-Mexico cooperation, understanding and prosperity through greater international exchange of students.
To increase mutual understanding and building closer people-to-people ties.
To address common challenges, including citizen security, economic opportunity, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
The focus of the program is in the topic of Smart Cities. Students do not need previous knowledge in this topic, because the course will teach them all the basics that they need to perform well in the program and develop competitive final program deliverables.
Eligibility
Students classified as juniors, seniors, masters and doctoral as well as pharmacy PY1. All engineering majors can apply. Minimum GPA of 2.5.
