GATES CAMBRIDGE SCHOLARSHIP

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship provides successful applicants with funding to pursue graduate study in any subject available at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Approximately two-thirds of these awards will be offered to prospective PhD students.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation established this award in the year 2000 and its mission is to build a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others. There are approximately 250 Gates Scholars from 50 countries studying at the University of Cambridge at any given time. The Scholars form their own distinctive community within the university and eventually join a community of more than 1,700 Gates Cambridge Alumni spread across the world.
