UTEP Unions offers a variety of room setup configurations to accommodate different event needs. Available setups may vary by venue, and custom setups may be available upon request. Below are the most common setups and a list of each room with the capacities and set ups.
A Classroom Setup entails rows and columns of rectangular tables with two or three chairs behind each table, all facing the same direction.
A Theatre Setup includes chairs set up in straight lines, with proper spacing between rows, center and side aisles. Unless other arrangements are made, chairs are facing the front of the room.
A Round setup includes 60 inch round tables set up with chairs around the perimeter. This setup is normally set with ten (10) chairs per table or six (6) per table so that the backs of guests are not facing the front of the room or potential presenters.

U-Shape Rectangular tables are used to create a larger table in the shape of a “U”, the opening of the U-shape is normally the front of the room.
The following tables lists the maximum capacities of each of rental venue in each of the standard setup options. Other custom configurations are available, the capacities of which will be determined in accordance with state File and Life Safety codes. Capacities may be reduced by audiovisual equipment, catering tables, and other requested items. These figures are subject to change without notice.
