Rebecca Pastrana is a Lecturer in the Department of Criminal Justice. She earned her Master’s in Criminal Justice from NMSU in 2003 and her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Walden University in 2021. She previously worked as a Trainer at the Parole Officer Academy and retired as a Supervisor and Senior District Parole Officer from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Parole Division. She is interested in post incarcerated female offenders in correctly assessing their risk and reentry into the community thereby lowering recidivism rates.
