chihuahuan desert gardens

The Gardens were established in 1999 and are certified as a Texas Wildscape site. With more than 800 species of plants that are native or adapted to the Chihuahuan Desert, visitors can see the plants in their native setting. The Chihuahuan Desert Gardens are visited by thousands of people each year, including international visitors and school children from the region.

We are developing a new website for the gardens that will provide information about the plants.  The website will be mobile-friendly, allowing users to see lists of plants in each bed and to learn more about them.  To make this experience work for everyone, we need to install WiFi throughout the gardens.  Help us by donating any amount to our Pick-a-project campaign by CLICKING HERE
