Our expert and award winning faculty and staff work collaboratively to foster high impact educational initiatives by raising global awareness, facilitating interprofessional teamwork, creating opportunities for interdisciplinary and applied research, and enabling global health and civic engagement activities for our learners. The College is housed in two locations: Our $60 million 135,000 sq. ft. Health Sciences and Nursing building on UTEP’s main campus houses state-of-the-art clinical and research laboratories, innovative teaching and clinical simulation spaces, as well as faculty and administrative offices. The Campbell Building, located next to the main campus, is home to CHS graduate programs in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Speech Language Pathology) with clinical, classroom, simulation and laboratory spaces, the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, the Concussion Management Clinic, and the recently-renovated Human Anatomy Teaching Lab.
We also work closely with UTEP’s Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy as well as the Colleges of Engineering, Education, Liberal Arts and Science to equip all our students with an interprofessional education that will give them a competitive Edge when they graduate and enter the world of professional practice. Our Interdisciplinary Health Sciences doctoral degree program provides the highest quality doctoral educational experience which enables its graduates to become national and global leaders in interdisciplinary research in academic, research and professional practice settings.
