Rehabilitation Sciences Program Director Named UTEP Edge Fellow
Dr. Carolina Valencia, director of the newly established Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences Program, has been named one of 20 UTEP Edge Fellows, and will serve the entire College of Health Sciences in this role.
The UTEP Edge Fellows are a select group of faculty and staff committed to holistic student success by way of a one-team, faculty/staff/student-led approach to student development, co-curricular engagement and professional preparation. The faculty and staff members selected for this prestigious two-year appointment bring diverse expertise and perspectives, and will be engaged in a “training of the trainers” program to become the campus experts in UTEP Edge philosophy. As part of the two-year commitment, the fellows will help disseminate and build institution-wide Edge practices through their own teaching, research and professional work; and will serve as consultants, and lead Edge asset and values workshops for departments and programs in their division.
