Occupational Therapy
Welcome!!
Welcome to the Occupational Therapy Program at the University of Texas at El Paso! We are part of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the College of Health Sciences, and offer a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree which can be completed in 2½ years.
We believe in active learning and offer opportunities for students to learn in real community settings very early in the program. The program concludes with 2 twelve-week clinical fieldwork rotations, or internships. Upon completion of the didactic coursework and clinical fieldwork rotations, students are eligible to sit for the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy exam, which, with successful completion, makes students certified and eligible for licensure in any state to practice Occupational Therapy.
