RECOGNITION OF BUILDING SCHOLARS

BUILDing SCHOLARS Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity: Southwest Consortium of Health-Oriented Education Leaders and Research Scholars, or BUILDing SCHOLARS, is a center of excellence established at The University of Texas at El Paso. The research-intensive training program, funded by the National Institutes of Health, is reserved for students with a strong motivation to become researchers in biomedical, social, behavioral or health sciences, or biomedical engineering. In addition to their coursework and research/mentoring activities at UTEP, participants conduct summer research at one of 12 partner institutions. BUILDing SCHOLARS requires students to complete a senior undergraduate thesis.
