Staff Performance Evaluation Enhancements
Optional Employee Self-Evaluation
Employee self-evaluations are now available in the system. If you plan on encouraging self-evaluations, keep the following in mind:
- Verify the competencies that will be used during the evaluation are updated.
- The “Goal” document for 2020 must be submitted.
- Provide your team a deadline so you may start with the evaluation.
Once the employee submits the evaluation, you will receive an e-mail. Any feedback provided by the employee will be retained as part of the evaluation. Note that a self-evaluation is not required for you to begin the rating process.
New Look and Feel
After selecting the employee who you wish to evaluate, a task panel is presented showing the status of the evaluation. For more information, click here.
Provided the Ability to Copy Competencies from the 2019 Evaluations
If you created your own competencies in 2019 and started or completed the Goals for 2020, we copied the competencies for you! If you did not start the Goals, you have the option to copy the competencies. To view the step-by-step process, click here for a quick guide or click here for a video tutorial. Please note, for the 2020 evaluations, if you chose to use customized competencies you will need to copy your own competencies.
Ability to re-open the document
If at any point in the evaluation process you need to change a rating or a comment, you now have access to re-open the evaluation document. Keep in mind that this will re-start the workflow routing and only applies to the evaluation document, not the Goals setting. For more information, click here.
Minimized the Number of Default Evaluation Competencies
Last year the default evaluation system included four criteria (Quality of Work, Productivity, Reliability & Teamwork). Under each criteria, we defaulted 6 competencies. This year for all documents where Goals were not started, the default went down to 3. You still have the option to add the competencies from a pre-defined list.
