What are tips for managers when completing an annual performance evaluation for their employees?
- Reflect on the entire 12 months of the employee's performance.
- Be specific and objective with feedback.
- A manager should be able to utilize examples and sync the content with the feedback they have given year-round. The should be no surprises.
- Use clear language.
- Do not include information regarding an employee's medical leaves, ADA accommodations, grievances, Title IX, or EO investigations.
After the evaluation has been shared with the employee and acknowledged, what happens next?
