Dr. Melinda Tasca is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at The University of Texas at El Paso. Her research focuses on corrections, the collateral consequences of incarceration, and disparities in the criminal justice system. Her work has appeared in journals such as Justice Quarterly, Criminal Justice and Behavior, Crime and Delinquency, Punishment and Society, and the Journal of Criminal Justice. Dr. Tasca has extensive experience collaborating with correctional agencies and leading large projects aimed at bridging research, policy, and practice. Her work has been funded by Arnold Ventures, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute of Justice.
