The LAHP was founded in 2012, and since then has awarded Liberal Arts Honors to over 100 outstanding undergraduates upon their commencement. Our students have excelled in many ways—presenting at conferences, winning awards and grants, going on to top graduate schools and law schools. Nine of our students have won top ten seniors honors at UTEP.
EL PASO, Texas (July 21, 2026) – UTEP Bands will host a concert and educational initiative in partnership with the 1st Armored Division Band at Fort Bliss in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday. The effort is supported by a $20,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
