Research Opportunities
The following faculty are accepting inquiries from undergraduate students about research opportunities:
Dr. Melissa Baker
Dr. Baker welcomes student involvement on ongoing projects, including projects on the role of stress and mental health in political participation, how stressors (e.g., changing political circumstances, discrimination) affect political attitudes and policy preferences, emotional content in election misinformation, and the role of language in outcomes of domestic violence cases. More projects and details on projects can be found at melissanbaker.com
Dr. Charles Boehmer
Dr. Boehmer invites students to work on projects involving international organization and various themes, including economics, human rights, security, environmentalism, and other topics. Dr. Gaspare Genna
Dr. Gaspare Genna is working on a book length project regarding why countries engage in economic and political regional integration. Research assistance is needed in coding various trade treaties and researching other contextual facts. Another related project is the aggregation of survey data for analysis of political values across countries.
