While there has always been a library collection on campus, the current building opened October 12, 1984. It features a unique Bhutanese architecture, as do many of the buildings on campus. The atrium of the Library is light and airy and houses one of the tapestries from University's collections, which was sewn by Buddhist monks in Thimphu, the Bhutanese
There are over 200 works of art on permanent display, including paintings by Tom Lea and over 100 original drawings by Jose Cisneros. There is also a small used bookstore located in the library atrium.
