Preserving Dr. Natalicio's Legacy

Dr. Natalicio's impact was far-reaching—from her work with students at UTEP to her vision to scale access and excellence in higher education nationwide. While many have read the headlines, it’s the personal interactions and individual encouragement that capture the nuance of Dr. Natalicio’s gifts to the field. By documenting and preserving these stories, future generations will be able to understand the enduring significance of her work and vision.

Capturing Personal Stories

We are collecting recorded interviews to preserve the memories and experiences of those who worked closely with Dr. Natalicio and were influenced by her leadership. To capture a range of perspectives, interviewees include former students, faculty, and administrators, as well as community members. The interviews will be archived at UTEP as part of a long-standing oral history collection that spans more than 50 years and 2,000 recorded narratives.
