With steadfast commitment and daring vision, our faculty shine as the heart of the 2025 President’s Honors, driving research to new heights and inspiring lasting change throughout the wider community.
The President’s Honors spotlights the top three academic departments that excelled in securing external research funding in 2024-2025, showcasing the remarkable dedication and vibrant strengths that define our University
Rankings were determined by total grant funding, normalized by the number of tenure and tenured -track faculty in each department
These departments embody leadership through curiosity, vision, and purpose, transforming bold ideas into real-world impact for the Borderplex region and far beyond.
R&I has called upon gifted UTEP artists to craft original works celebrating faculty achievements. These creations not only highlight research excellence but also capture the dynamic creative spirit pulsing through our campus.
Framed by a bold blood-orange sky reminiscent of El Paso’s iconic sunsets and UTEP’s signature color, Druk: Thunder Dragon stands as a symbol of the unyielding pursuit of knowledge and the transformative power of research, scholarship, and creativity at the University. Unveiled at the 2025 President’s Honors, this artwork radiates the spirit of curiosity and transformation that fuels UTEP’s research mission.
