ADP MaST Academy
ADP MaST Academy is in its 17th year of providing scholarships, field experience, and support to UTEP undergraduates in the College of Science who are Majoring in Secondary Education. Participants in the program can expect to:
- Attend monthly workshops presented by teachers and professionals working in the schools and districts covering topics from classroom management to special education
- Be assigned a mentor teacher and get involved in their classroom through weekly visits over the course of each semester
- Be observed teaching and receive meaningful feedback
- Join a support network of over 100 teachers in all El Paso districts and teach every math and science class offered in the high schools and middle schools
- Return to the program as a mentor teacher!

Scholarship Application Requirements
GPA Requirement: Minimum of 2.75 overall and in your major and have 2 to 4 semesters of courses remaining (including student teaching).
Once your application is reviewed, you will be contacted to schedule an interview.
At least 24 hours PRIOR to the interview, please have the following supporting documents available:
- Contact information for two references (addresses, phone numbers, and email).
- List of student activities (may include employment, educational, and volunteer history).
- Essay (150-300 words) on your teaching and leadership experience, both formal and informal.
