CAPS Counseling Services, Crisis Lines, Emotional Support Lines, Text, and Phone Support
CAPS Counseling Services
To remain compliant with university safety recommendations and social distancing protocols due to COVID-19, Counseling and psychological services will be providing all services via video or over the phone. Students who wish to schedule an appointment to speak with a counselor can call CAPS at 915.747.5302. Once some initial information is collected, we can schedule an appointment for you with the first available counselor.
Single Session Therapy Model: The single session therapy model focuses on helping a student identify an immediate need to address in the session. Once identified, counselors will use various therapeutic techniques to address the presenting issue, prioritize goals and provide resources.
Once the University resumes normal business operations, CAPS will return to providing their more traditional psychotherapy services as identified on our website.

Just call CAPS at 915.747.5302 and connect with an after-hours licensed mental health professional trained to help you through any mental health crisis you may be facing.
