What is My Miner Gold Card?
The Miner Gold Card is the official ID for the faculty, staff, and students, at The University of Texas at El Paso. It validates your institutional status as faculty, staff, or student, at many on-campus and some off-campus locations.
It’s not just an ID card – the magnetic stripe on the back means your Miner Gold Card contains your library card, Miner Meals, Miner Bucks and the meal plans for the all-you-care-to-eat restaurant on campus.
For students, the Miner Gold Card provides access to campus services such as computer labs, tutoring centers, the Student Health Center, the University Counseling Center, the Student Recreation Center and Student Tickets.
Additionally, the Miner Gold Card is used for the semester print allocation, to disperse book loans, and to access parking and dormitories for on-campus housing.
Those who require electronic access to doors or buildings on campus may use their Miner Gold Card for keyless entry once the Space Access Request has been processed through the Facilities Service Desk website. Those with inner campus parking permits may use their Miner Gold Card to open the parking gates.
