1.Submit your application
You will submit your application for admissions through the ApplyTexas.org website. If this is your first time using the website, you will need to create an account. Once you have created an account, follow the prompts to complete your application for The University of Texas at El Paso.
You will choose a major, and list all the schools you have previously attended. Note that we will also use your application to determine admission into award. Apply now at ApplyTexas.org.
2. Submit College Transcripts
Send us official transcript(s) documenting all college credit earned while in high school (dual credit counts).
Transcripts must be official and submitted by the university/college directly to the office of Admissions and Recruitment.Transcripts will not be accepted in person or if they are unofficial, Some colleges and universities are able to submit transcripts electronically to the universityon your behalf to submit@utep.edu .
You must report your entire academic record, including all college credit earned. Such coursework must be detailed on the ApplyTexas application, and you must submit official transcripts documenting the coursework
If transcripts are not available to be submitted electronically, they can be submitted by mail to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment.

3. check your Future Miner Portal
Once you have submitted your application, check your status at mystatus.utep.edu. Make sure your personal information is correct and you report any errors to us. Please contact a transfer counselor to assist with changes to your admissions information, Larry Tena ljtena2@utep.edu or Brandon Stearns brstearns2@utep.edu .
4.See if you have further application requirements
You may have just a few more thingstodo. Students 21 years of age or younger will need to submit proof that they have received the meningitis vaccine. A copy of your vaccination record can be emailed to our office at meningitis@utep.edu

5.Sign Up for Orientation
Once you are admitted, you will be able to sign up for a Transfer Student Orientation where you will be able to meet with your Academic Advisor and register for courses. For more informationvisit the Office of New Student Orientation.

Transfer Night
Transfer nights are events that provide prospective transfer students have the opportunity to meet with a representative of the University of Texas at El Paso's Office of Admission and Recruitment and learn more about the transfer process. The event will take place from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on the dates listed below.- Admissions Night: Tuesday, January 6th, 2026, 5 pm – 7 pm at the Mike Loya Building
- Enrollment Night: Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, 5 pm – 7 pm at the Mike Loya Building
- Enrollment Day: Saturday, January 17TH, 2026, 10 am – 1 pm at the UTEP Library
- Transfer Day: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, 9 am – 3 pm, EPCC Valle Verde Cafeteria
UTEP-EPCC Consortium Agreement
Students enrolled at both the University of Texas at El Paso and El Paso Community College can submit a consortium agreement form for the two institutions and receive Financial Aid. For more information please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 915-747-5204.
