The University of Texas at El Paso is taking measures to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and faculty during the COVID-19 outbreak. On Tuesday, March 24th, the City of El Paso issued a shelter-at-home ordinance to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The Office of International Programs and Study Abroad is currently operating remotely. Our physical office in Union East 203 is closed until further notice, but we are still providing services and processing requests. The Passport Acceptance Facility is not accepting appointments and will be closed until further notice.

The Office of International Programs and Study Abroad primarily assists UTEP international students, scholars, and dependent family members to maintain their non-immigrant statuses. We comply with federal regulations for mandatory record-keeping and reporting to federal agencies on behalf of UTEP.
