The Big Picture
The Ph.D. in Business Administration is now accepting applications for the Fall 2026 cohort.
Apply by January 15, 2026, for early consideration. Applications remain open through April 1, 2026, with decisions made on a rolling basis.
The Program
This is a full-time, four-year doctoral program designed for students pursuing careers in academic research and teaching.
Areas of study include:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Management
- Marketing
The first two years focus on building deep research skills through coursework in quantitative methods, supporting disciplines, and research seminars. After completing coursework, students advance to comprehensive exams, followed by dissertation research and defense.
Funding
The program is fully funded. Doctoral students receive:
- A $25,000 stipend for the nine-month academic year
- Optional summer teaching appointments ($4,000–$6,000 per course)
- In-state tuition coverage for up to four years
- Conference travel funding to present research
Continued funding is based on academic progress and GPA.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and submit:

- $45 (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, Mexican nationals)
- $80 (international applicants)
- Undergraduate and graduate transcripts
- Valid GMAT or GRE scores (within 5 years)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Current CV or résumé
- Statement of purpose
- International applicants must also submit English proficiency scores (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo), unless their prior degree was completed in an English-speaking country.
