FirstLight FCU Launches Scholarships for Hunt Business Students

FirstLight Federal Credit Union has introduced four $1,000 scholarships for Hunt Business undergraduates. Applications close March 20, 2026.
Scholarship Details
Four awards of $1,000 each will be granted to eligible Hunt Business undergraduates. No essay is required; students will submit a short video response instead. Funds are paid directly to UTEP, and recipients will be recognized at a scholarship reception on May 6, 2026.
How to Apply
Visit FirstLightCommunityFoundation.org, select the UTEP College of Business scholarship, complete the brief form, and upload your video response by March 20, 2026.

Why It Matters
The scholarship provides direct financial support to business students while reinforcing ongoing ties between regional industry leaders and the college. The scholarship is backed by Hunt alumna Margie Salazar, President and CEO of FirstLight FCU, and a recipient of the UTEP Gold Nugget Award.
