Lorenie Orozco on Supporting Hunt Business Graduate Programs

Behind Hunt Business graduate programs is a system that has to work — clean, coordinated, and responsive.
Lorenie Orozco sits at the center of it, managing operations, supporting students from recruitment through graduation, and keeping faculty, staff, and programs aligned.
Who are you?
I am a Program Manager at the UTEP Graduate Business Center with more than 15 years of experience supporting students pursuing graduate degrees. I hold a Master’s in Education and an MBA with a concentration in Management, and I have been part of the MBA team since 2014.
What do you do at Hunt Business?
My role sits at the intersection of student success, faculty collaboration, and program operations.
I support the Professional MBA, Online MBA, and Master of Accountancy programs by managing day-to-day operations and student interaction from recruitment through graduation.
I partner with staff across advising, admissions, and career services to keep everything aligned and offer a high-quality student experience.
Faculty and staff can work with me on:
- Course planning and scheduling
- Student support and issue resolution
- Program policies and process improvements
How will students benefit from your work?
Students benefit from a well-organized, responsive, and supportive program environment. My goal is to create a seamless experience so students can focus on learning, advancing their careers, and making the most of their graduate education.
How can employers and partners collaborate with you?
I can help connect organizations with the right faculty, programs and students, and coordinate involvement with our Graduate Career Development Manager to ensure a meaningful partnership that benefits both students and employers.
