New Graduate Career Development Role Expands Student Support at Hunt Business
Behind Hunt Business Graduate Programs is a growing support system built around student success, career readiness and employer connection.
Jazlyn Escobedo joins that work in a new graduate career development role, supporting students and alumni across programs while connecting graduate business talent with professional opportunities.
Who are you?
I am the Graduate Career Development Manager at the UTEP Graduate Business Center in the Hunt College of Business.
I bring experience from corporate environments, including a Big Four accounting firm and a global bank. I graduated from UTEP with a major in accounting and a minor in finance, and after several years outside of El Paso, I returned to join the Graduate Business Center team in December 2025.
Outside of work, I enjoy writing, dancing, interior design and Pilates.
What do you do at Hunt Business?
I support Professional MBA, Online MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Accountancy and Master of Economics students and alumni through targeted professional development, one-on-one career assistance, and employer collaboration.
That includes resume reviews, job search support, career advice, and helping students identify opportunities that align with their goals.
Faculty and staff can collaborate with me on:
- Job and internship opportunities for graduate students
- Professional development events and initiatives
- Career development support for graduate students and alumni
How will students benefit from your work?
Students benefit from responsive, detailed, and candid career support.
I am available for walk-ins and appointments, both in-person and virtually. My goal is to create space for students to discuss their career goals, strengthen their professional materials, and access tools and opportunities that complement their graduate school experience.
How can employers and partners collaborate with you?
I can help employers connect with graduate business talent by sharing job opportunities, developing professional development initiatives, and coordinating guest speaker opportunities.
Through these collaborations, employers and partners can engage with students while supporting career readiness across Hunt Business graduate programs.
