The Big Picture

UTEP Executive MBA students receive 12 months of unlimited one-on-one executive coaching through the program’s partnership with Right Management. The service is included in program tuition and pairs each student with a coach certified by the International Coaching Federation at the Professional Certified Coach level.

Students may begin the coaching experience during their fourth semester, extending the work of the EMBA into individualized conversations about leadership, professional direction, and decisions already taking shape.

The coaching experience begins with the student’s goals. Right Management uses a survey and discovery conversation to match each participant with a coach whose experience, industry knowledge, and approach fit the work ahead.

The coach does not choose the destination. The coach works alongside the student to make the route clearer, the decisions more deliberate, and the next action more useful.

How It Works

Students begin with a brief survey, followed by a discovery call with a Right Management concierge. Those steps establish initial goals and help identify a coach suited to the student’s professional needs and interests.

Coaching sessions typically take place through Microsoft Teams, with additional access by email, text, or telephone. If the first pairing does not feel like the right fit, students may request a different coach.

Beyond the Sessions

Students also receive access to Right Management’s PowerSuite: NEXT™, which includes strengths and skills assessments, live and recorded webinars, résumé specialists, and additional career resources.

Those services remain available for up to one year after the 12-month coaching period, extending the support beyond the coaching engagement itself.

The coaching layer carries the Executive MBA beyond a shared curriculum, giving each student dedicated space to turn experience, ambition, and uncertainty into a clearer course of action.
