Explora Juárez Launches 2026 Binational Business Immersion
Hunt College students joined peers from UACJ and UACH Friday morning to begin a two-day exploration of business, industry, and culture in Ciudad Juárez.
The Launch
Three universities. One border region.
Fifteen students from the Woody L. Hunt College of Business joined 30 students from the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH) Friday morning for the launch of Explora Juárez.
The program opened Sept. 18 at UACJ’s Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Administración, where leaders from the three universities welcomed students to the two-day binational business immersion.
UTEP President Heather Wilson delivered her opening remarks in Spanish, emphasizing the shared identity and economic ties of the border region.
“We are a binational community. We are united by faith, family, culture, and business. We can better educate our students on this topic, together with our partner universities in Mexico.”

What’s Ahead
A closer look at the border economy.
Across Friday and Saturday, students will take part in industry visits, a keynote on the region’s economic history, a border digital marketing workshop, and cultural and hospitality experiences throughout Ciudad Juárez.
Hunt College will share a closer look at the student experience following the conclusion of the program.
