Hunt College Welcomes Future Miners at Orange and Blue Day
Prospective students and families explored the UTEP Woody L. Hunt College of Business during Orange and Blue Day, meeting student leaders, watching a pitch competition, and stepping inside Woody’s Whirlwind.
Why It Matters
Choosing a college means imagining a future there. The showcase helped visitors connect business majors with career possibilities and hear directly from current students about finding community and making the most of college.
What Happened
-
Student connections: About a dozen student organizations and roughly 40 student leaders helped prospective students understand the college’s majors, explore opportunities, and learn how to get involved beyond the classroom.
-
Ideas on display: Students presented their business ideas in a Shark Tank-style pitch competition during the main Orange and Blue Day welcome event at Magoffin Auditorium.
-
A signature attraction: Woody’s Whirlwind, the college’s cash tornado, invited visitors to step inside and added a playful element to the Hunt College experience.
What They’re Saying
“A college education can change a student’s future and create opportunities for an entire family. Orange and Blue Day helps students and families see where those possibilities begin with Hunt College.”
