URSCA Honors Information
The COURI Undergraduate Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activities (URSCA) Honors award is designed to recognize students who have participated in multiple semesters of faculty-mentored research, scholarly, or creative activities.
When to Apply
UTEP Commencement/Graduation information
WE RECOMMEND THAT SUMMER GRADUATES apply for the Fall Commencement option. This ensures that your coursework is completed and presentations/publications information is up to date.
Fall Commencement
September 1 through November 15
Spring Commencement
February 1 through April 15
Eligibility
Honor cord
- At least 2 semesters of verified URSCA experience
and - One presentation
Honor stole
- At least 4 semesters of verified URSCA experience
and - Two presentations OR a publication.
- ONLY ONE AWARD will be given (the highest achieved)
- Semester URSCA participation is verified through RSRC 4033 course registration via Goldmine/Banner
- You should check your online transcript for RSRC registrations
- Only ONE registration per semester counts if you had multiple mentors

- registration receipt/certificate from the conference
- symposium or proceedings listing
- exhibition notes or technical program
- An image of you standing by your poster where your name badge is visible AND a close up/scan of your name badge is acceptable
- A pdf/jpg image of your poster IS NOT acceptable as proof of a presentation
- Publications must be a notification from the publisher that your article has been accepted for publishing or the final version of the article with citation information
