Nanoengineered Functional Devices

Consistent with the Printing Nanoengineering (PNE) option within Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, nanoparticle-based systems are envisaged to be the next generation of devices with superior performance. A novel nano-ink formula with 3D printing instruments with the aim to completely transform printed structures has been developed. The obvious advantage of such an approach is tuning and superior control of feature size, which could well replace conventional lithography, with far reaching potential impact extending to solar cells, microfluids, and biosensors.
