The HR Immigration team is dedicated to
Pre-Hire:
- Candidate should inform the hiring official upon offer of their intent to request sponsorship.
Post-Hire/Current employee:
- Hiring official submits the sponsorship request to HR Immigration for review.
- Provost Office reviews and approves the sponsorship.
- HR Immigration coordinates with the department and attorneys to initiate the request.
Important:
Employees must contact the Human Resources Immigration team for any inquires on TN to H1-B and Lawful Permanent Residence (LPR) application (I-140).
All employment-based petitions filed on behalf of The University of Texas at El Paso must be submitted by an approved Immigration attorney contracted through UTEP.
Under U.S. Immigration law, non-U.S. citizens are required to report any change of address to USCIS within 10 days by submitting a Form AR-11 for each family member. The Form AR-11 can be submitted online at http://www.uscis.gov/ar-11. In addition, please send notification of address change to HR and immigration attorney as soon as possible to update your file and avoid any potential delays or complications in your case.
