Frequently Asked Questions: Web
#01: I need to have my Faculty/Staff webpage created/changed. Who do I contact?
First check the Web Liaisons page to see if your department/program has a dedicated webmaster. Contact her/him with instructions. If your department has "Liberal Arts Web" as its liaison, please send an email to the College and Assistant Webmasters with instructions for the changes you desire. If instructions are extensive, please attach a Word document with the desired content/instructions.
#02: I need a special website set up for my project. How do I set one up?
If the website is to be under the College of Liberal Arts and it is to use the standard template , please contact the College Webmaster with details about the proposed website. If you need a non-standard site (blog, custom code, custom templates, e-commerce, etc.), please send an email to the UTEP Helpdesk helpdesk@utep.edu and they will route your request accordingly.
#03: I don't have an "official portrait" for my UTEP page. Who can take it for me?
Please send an email to the UTEP Helpdesk helpdesk@utep.edu to request that your Faculty/Staff portrait is taken by University Communications . They will request information from you and set up an appointment to have your portrait taken. Once it is taken and it becomes available , you can provide it to your liaison to update/create your page.
#04: Where do I submit a News item for my departmental website?
Please use the News Submission form in the News section of the Liberal Arts site. If your department is not on the form, it means its webmaster handles news items.
