Microsoft Teams App Installation for macOS
Please follow these steps to install the Microsoft Teams app on your computer:
For Windows, please go to the Microsoft Teams App Installation for Windows page.
1. Open Safari and go to https://www.office.com:
1b. Sign in with your UTEP email and password:
1c. Once signed-in, Launch the Teams application:
2. Once the web app is running, install the desktop app manually from the lower-left corner:
2b. If the icon is not available, you can also click on your initials on the upper-right and select "Download the desktop app":
3. Allow downloads from "teams.microsoft.com":
4. Once the file has finished downloading, click on the "Teams_osx.pkg" file in your Downloads to install:
5. Perform a default installation by accepting the prompts:
5b. Enter admin credentials if prompted:
5c. Once the software has finished installing, close the window:
5d. Move the install file to the Trash:
6. Launch the Teams app from your Applications folder:
6b. There will be a window asking you for your UTEP email. Go ahead and enter it and click "Sign in":
7. You will then be taken to a screen to enter your password. Go ahead and do so and click "Sign in":
8. You will then be taken to your home page in the Teams Desktop app. The app will then show in your Dock:
