Microsoft Teams App Installation for Windows
Please follow these steps to install the Microsoft Teams app on your computer:
For macOS, please go to the Microsoft Teams App Installation for macOS page.
1. Open a web browser and go to https://www.office.com. Sign in with your UTEP email and password. Once signed-in, Launch the Teams application:
1a. Alternately, the icons may be arranged in this fashion:
2. If the page prompts you, go ahead and install the Desktop App. If it doesn't and the page takes you to your teams, install the app manually from the lower-left corner:
2a. If that icon is not available, you can click on your initials on the upper-right corner and select "Download the desktop app" from the menu:
3. Wait for the install file to download:
4. Once the file has finished downloading, click on it to install:
5. There will a Security Warning window. Go ahead and click on "Run":
6. There will be a new window asking you for your UTEP email. Go ahead and enter it and click "Sign in":
7. You will then be taken to a screen to enter your password. Go ahead and do so and click "Sign in":
8. You will then be taken to your home page in the Teams Desktop app. Once the app is running and you are available, the icon on the taskbar will show a green checkmark:
