Checkout

Library materials are checked in and out at the Access Services desk. A valid UTEP ID or UTEP-issued library card is required to borrow materials.

• Holds
  A hold allows most circulating items to be held at the Access Services desk but does not alter the due date if the item is checked out. Students, faculty, and staff can put a hold on most circulating items.

• Lost & Found
  Lost something? Items are kept at the Access Services desk until the end of the day then turned over to the police. IDs are kept for one week and then turned over to the ID center in the Mike Loya Building.

  • Library Group Study Rooms
    Study rooms are available on floors 1 - 4. Rooms may not be reserved; they are available for checkout on a first-come basis and circulate for three (3) hours. Groups of three or more will be given preference over a single individual during the hours of 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Thursday. Keys to study rooms are available for check-out at the Access Services Desk.

Interlibrary Loan

Through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) system, the Library can borrow materials it doesn't own or have access to from other institutions throughout the country. This service is available free of charge to UTEP faculty, staff, and students.

• Information Literacy at UTEP
• Library/information literacy instruction is normally provided to classes during our regular hours Research & Instruction operating hours ; however, faculty and instructors can request sessions outside of these hours by coordinating with their librarian.
