American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists
The mission of APhA-ASP UTEP Chapter is to provide professional development and leadership opportunities for student pharmacists, advocate for the role of the pharmacist in the healthcare system, and provide bilingual health services and education to the Borderland region of El Paso, Texas.
IDEAL Pharmacy Council
The IDEAL Pharmacy Council works in unity with the UTEP School of Pharmacy student body, administration, faculty, staff, professional organizations, and Pharmacy Council members to be the leading pharmacy student governance in the border region.

American Association of Pharmaceutifcal Scientist's Student Chapter
This AAPS UTEP Chapter capitalizes on its students’ pharmaceutical knowledge and skills by incorporating our school's IDEAL principles to facilitate professional growth and inspiration in the intricate areas of pharmaceutical sciences and compounding expertise. AAPS members will promote productivity and engagement among students, professors, and multi-institutional programs through workshops and networking events to promote a humanitarian outreach and to recruit new AAPS members.
Student National Pharmaceutical Association
SNPhA is an educational service association of pharmacy students who are concerned about the profession of pharmacy, healthcare issues, and minority representation in these areas. The purpose of SNPhA is to plan, organize, coordinate, and execute programs geared toward the improvement of the health, educational, and social environment of minority communities.
Objectives:
- To offer student members the opportunity to develop leadership and professional skills.
- To educate students about, and promote active participation in national healthcare issues.
- To develop the role of the minority health professional as a vital member of the healthcare team.
- To develop within communities a positive image of minority health professionals.
- To educate communities on better health practices and to increase their awareness and understanding of diseases.
Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists
The student society shall adopt the mission and objectives of the state society of health-system pharmacists. “Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) is a strong and vibrant membership-driven society of pharmacists, technicians, students, and professional colleagues who advocate for optimized patient care, professional practice, and public health.”- TSHP. In addition, the student society shall have the following mission:
“The mission of the University of Texas at El Paso School of Pharmacy student society is to make students aware of pharmacy practice in health systems; provide information to students about career directions in and credentials needed for pharmacy practice in health systems; and encourage membership and participation in the state society and ASHP as a student and upon graduation.”
