Walmart Health Equity Scholarship for Pharmacy Students
The Walmart Health Equity Scholarship for Pharmacy Students will be awarded to 10 outstanding Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree students who are accepted or enrolled in the professional curriculum at a U.S. college or school of pharmacy. Selected awardees must demonstrate leadership, academic success, and a commitment to serving rural or medically underserved patient populations. Each awardee will receive a single $5,000 scholarship.
Professional Recovery Network-Scholarship for Texas Pharmacy Students
The Texas Pharmacy Foundation (TPF), in coordination with TPA’s Professional Recovery Network (PRN), annually awards up to 3 scholarships to students pursuing a career in pharmacy at an accredited Texas school or college of pharmacy to attend the APhA Institute on Substance Use Disorders, June 1–5 in Utah. The scholarship covers registration fees for the event. Applicants must be in their first (P1) or second (P2) professional year and be a student pharmacist member of the Texas Pharmacy Association. They must be able to provide documentation of acceptance to attend this year’s APhA Institute on Substance Use Disorders.
NHHF: Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship
In 2004, NHHF established the National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship program and its first Gala in New York City for medical, nursing, dental, pharmacy, public health, and health policy students with outstanding academic records, leadership, and who are committed to serving Hispanics. As of January 2021, NHHF has awarded $1,555,000 to 306 awardees. This year, the scholarship will feature an award of up to $5,000 annually for 3 years, as well as individual scholarship awards of $2,000 each.
