Animal Orders
Animal orders and transfers are initiated by principal investigators or their designees via TOPAZ, the software application that handles our animal census and tracking. Initial access, training, and troubleshooting can be arranged through LARC at LARC@UTEP.edu
BASIC TOPAZ NAVIGATION
ANIMAL ORDERING / PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES
Approved vendors, which do not require the Inter-Institutional form and through which orders may be placed in TOPAZ are as follows:
- Jackson Laboratories
- Envigo
- Charles River Laboratories
- Taconic
- Hilltop Lab Animals
For Inter-Institutional transfer of animals or animal orders from non-approved vendors, please contact the LARC managers
