Identifying Opportunities  

There are various ways to assist you in identifying funding opportunities:  

  • Weekly ResearchCalls bulletin - features funding opportunities from national agencies, foundations, and other organizations.   
  • We encourage you to navigate through our funding sources for a list of funding agencies.   

Lastly, we invite you to set up a consultation with us to discuss and search for opportunities that match your research goals.   

Meeting With Program Officers  

Many major funding agencies offer opportunities to meet with program officers who oversee specific awards. This is a great way to learn more about the funding opportunity and to get tips for your proposal. Some good questions to ask include:  

  • Does my proposal align with the agency’s current priorities?  
  • What are common concerns/reasons for rejection you often see in proposals?  
  • Are there any new areas of interest within the agency?  

Events and Learning Opportunities  

R&I advertises numerous events and learning opportunities to help you with writing your proposal. Be on the lookout for our Events & Learning Opportunities bulletin and regular update s on our events page to stay up to date on helpful opportunities offered by us and some of the major funding agencies, including NSF, NIH, and more.      

Work With a Research Administrator  

Our team of research administrators can help you kick off your proposals by supporting you. Upon a Notice of Intent submission, one will be assigned to you. Connect with them  and they can assist with:  

  • Creating checklists  
  • Developing appropriate budgets  
  • Obtaining and completing necessary forms
