1. Submit your application.

You will submit your application for admissions through the goApplyTexas.org website. If this is your first time using the website, you will need to create an account. Once you have created an account, follow the prompts to complete your application for The University of Texas at El Paso.

You will choose a major, and list all the schools you have previously attended. Note that we will also use your application to determine admission into award. Apply now at goApplyTexas.org.

2. Send us your transcripts.

We need official transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended. When you apply, ask that these institutions send your official transcripts directly to our office.

El Paso Community College and the University of Texas at El Paso have the capability to send transcripts electronically and share information. Please ask that your transcripts are sent electronically to expedite the completion of your application.

4. Check your status.

Once you have submitted your application, check your status at mystatus.utep.edu. Make sure your personal information is correct and you report any errors to us. If you need to make a change, submit the Student Information Update  Form (SIUF) to submit@utep.edu.

5. See if you have further application requirements.

You may have just a few more things to do. Students 21 years of age or younger will need to submit proof that they have received the meningitis vaccine. A copy of your vaccination record can be emailed to our office at meningitis@utep.edu

6. Sign Up for Orientation

Once you are admitted, you will be able to sign up for a Transfer Student Orientation where you will be able to meet with your Academic Advisor and register for courses. For more information visit the Office of New Student Orientation.
